President's Message

Dear " . $Name .",

Greetings!

As I sit in our California office with a cup of hot coffee, I'm looking at the outside thermometer; which is reading an usually-low 34 degrees (yes, even in California)!

Along with thinking about how to keep warm, I can't stop thinking about the children in the Dominican Republic -- where the tropical climate is much warmer!

Since marrying my beautiful wife in 2009, this is the first Christmas that we spent in the United States. It was quiet, relaxing, and it gave me time to reflect on the strategic mission of Project Mañana.

This Christmas, I was so humbled at the amount of donations, gifts, and cards we received from sponsors for their Dominican child(ren). Each gift will be hand-delivered in the coming weeks.

On behalf of 225 (and growing!) Project Mañana children, their families, and community, THANK YOU for "Working Together Today for a Better Tomorrow!™"

Please visit Project Mañana's website for more information on how you can partner with Project Mañana; including child sponsorship.

Working Together Today For A Better Tomorrow™

Sincerely,

Brian Berman, Founder & President

Project Mañana Children Enjoy Christmas Party & Blessings

For the third consecutive year, Project Mañana hosted its annual Christmas party for the children of La Yaguita de Pastor. And, since the tropical weather of the Dominican Republic didn't feel much like winter -- each child enjoyed a choice of several ice cream bar flavors!

The children also received a gift of much-needed school supplies.

In addition to the blessings in La Yaguita de Pastor, Project Mañana also had the opportunity to adopt a second community called Villa Gonzales. This community was established as a refugee camp for displaced families following a devastating hurricane a few years ago. Villa Gonzales is home to some of the most needy families in the Dominican Republic.

Through a partnership with Villa Gonzales' local pastor, Jose Rodriquez, Project Mañana was able to provide Christmas presents to more than 40 children, who otherwise, would not have received anything for Christmas.

Project Mañana would like to THANK its very generous American partners and sponsors who, through their donations, were able to bless more than 200 children this Christmas!

Project Mañana Sponsors Send Christmas Blessings

Meet Lizsania Vargas - an energetic little girl with an amazing smile that never stops. Lizsania, or "Lizzie" as her sponsors call her, just had the "best Christmas ever".

Lizsania is sponsored by a group of high school girls from Ohio and their church small group leader, Julie Bogard. Each student helped to raise money for the sponsorship and two of the students visited Lizsania in the Dominican Republic last October.

A few months ago, Project Mañana was contacted with the amazing news that a donation would be made to provide Lizsania with anything she may need for Christmas. Project Mañana's Ambar Hernandez immediately visited Lizsania's home and coordinated a special shopping trip with Lizsania's mother -- something that is not usually financial feasible for her family.

Together, Lizsania, her mother, and Ambar set out for the stores in downtown Santiago. During the shopping trip, they visited several stores and Lizsania's smiled as she tried on new clothes and shoes. She also got to visit a toy store; where she fell in love with a new doll.

Altogether, Lizsania was blessed with a beautiful new dress, shoes, hair bows, and, of course, her precious doll! But, that's not where the blessing stopped...

To top of the day, Ambar surprised Lizsania and her mother with a trip to McDonald's for a Happy Meal! Unlike the United States, McDonald's is rather expensive and usually reserved for the upper class (or tourists); who can afford it.

Lizsania wasn't the only child to receive Christmas blessings from her sponsor. This year, Project Mañana received a record number of gifts from several sponsors - each will be hand-delivered in the coming weeks.

Project Mañana would like to thank ALL of the sponsors who blessed their Dominican child with Christmas gifts and cards! You have truly made an impact on these precious little ones!

Project Mañana Growth Update

From September 30, 2010 (when Project Mañana officially open its doors) to September 30, 2012, Project Mañana has seen an amazing 562% growth in its core programs.

Project Mañana, through the generous partnership of many sponsors across the United States, is now providing education, nutritious meals 5-days per week, and guidance to 225 children in the Dominican Republic! That's an astounding 562% growth in the first two years of service!

The growth is a true testament to the hard work of the Dominican-based Project Mañana team and the many sponsors who have made it their mission to help provide a Better Tomorrow for the children of La Yaguita de Pastor, Dominican Republic!

There are MANY more children in the community (we estimate another 200-300 conservatively) who desperately need education and nutrition. As more and more sponsors join the Project Mañana team, we will expand the programs to as many children as we can.

Please Help. Sponsor A Child TODAY!

 Project Mañana Needs Your Help!

Project Mañana is a non-profit 501(c)3 humanitarian organization dedicated to bettering the lives of impoverished children, their families and communities through nutrition, education, and guidance.

We achieve our goals through charitable donations and child sponsorship, which unites children in need with individual sponsors who wish to address the children's immediate and basic needs. Sponsorship gives poor children the tools and opportunities necessary for success by providing benefits and supporting programs for each child - primarily in the areas of education and nutrition.
