President's Message

" . $Name .",

Wow...2011 is off to a GREAT start for Project Mañana!

Through your partnership, donations, and child sponsorships, Project Mañana has been able to bless the community of La Yaguita de Pastor, Dominican Republic.

All systems are go...As of this month, Project Mañana is proud to report that our core programs have launched and are in full swing. This includes Project Niños (private education program) and Project Comida (nutrition program).

In addition, Project Mañana has been preparing a list of renovations and beautification projects for the Private School facilities and surrounding area. As funding allows, we will begin construction and keep you informed. In the mean time, THANK YOU for your support!

Working Together Today For A Better Tomorrow™

Sincerely,

Brian Berman, Founder & President

Project Mañana Takes A Team To The Dominican Republic!

In just a few short days, an 8-person team from around the United States will assemble in Miami, Florida for a long-awaited depature to Santiago, Dominican Republic.

The team, consisting of Project Mañana's Executive Team and Board of Directors, along with three Project Mañana partners, will spend a week in La Yaguita de Pastor at Project Mañana's Private School.

During their trip, the team will have the opportunity to spend time with the children (including those who they personally sponsor), meet the Project Mañana Dominican staff, tour Project Mañana's Private School, and spend time with the families in the local community. They will also get to see Project Niños (private education program) and Project Comida (nutrition program) in action!

The goal of this trip is to continue to develop deep relationships within the community and for each team member to experience daily life in the Dominican Republic. The Board of Directors will also break away for several meetings and further develop the 2011 strategic plan.

This trip has been under development for more than six months and each team member has raised the money needed to attend. Strategiclly, this is in line with Project Mañana's mission not to use general funds for anything other than the programs in which they were intended.

Project Mañana Sponsors Blessing Children with Christmas Gifts!

With Christmas now in the past, the buzz of the holiday season (and the spirit of giving) may have worn off. However, thanks to the Lilly family (Brian, Cindy, Madison, and Blake), the children in La Yaguita de Pastor, Dominican Republic continue to feel blessed.

It was in late 2010 that Project Mañana received a phone call from Cindy Lilly. She mentioned that she had access to new clothes from a major national brand -- and would like to donate as much as possible to the children in the Domincan Republic.

Extatic, Project Mañana jumped at the offer and in just a few short days, three enormous bags were delivered. The clothes were quickly sepereated and a tag with each child's name was put on the clothes. Not only were there enough items for every child in the school, there was extra to give to other needy children in the community!

Lilly family...THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!

In their own words…

We are so proud to sponsor a child with Project Mañana International!

Brian and Cindy have been to the Dominican Republic several times and have helped build a church, feed needy children, and teach bible classes with our church, Discovery Church in Simi Valley.  We fell in love with the Dominican Republic and the people there.  In fact, we have been on mission trips to other countries, but our hearts are in the Dominican Republic.

Brian Berman, Founder of Project Mañana, is a very good friend of ours and when he mentioned that he was starting a ministry in the Dominican Republic, we were instantly on board!

For us, it's quite simple…

Children around the world deserve a nutritious meal, education and, most importantly, to hear the word of God. It's through our sponsorship of Kelsy Palanco Cerda (a precious 4yr old little girl) that we have partnered with Project Mañana to do our part in making a difference.

Lord willing, Brian, Cindy, and for the first time our daughter Madison, will have the opportunity to return to the Dominican Republic and meet our child, Kelsy, face-to-face.

Our family believes that as God blesses us, we should bless others -- and Project Mañana is a great way to do that.

We urge you to join us. Please sponsor a child TODAY!

Sincerely,

Brian, Cindy, Madison, and Blake
Simi Valley, California

Project Niños - Child Highlight

Meet Rosenny Tineo Pichardo -- a precious 7-year-old little girl attending preschool at Project Mañana's Private School.

Rosenny, like many of the children from La Yaguita de Pastor, Dominican Republic has spent her whole life in poverty. Her favorite food is white rice and fried platains...however, sometimes she must rely on the memory of how they taste. Often she goes to bed without the necessary nutrients for her developing body. Her small, run-down home is over-crowded with her family and, as one of the youngest children, she is often overlooked.

There is good news! Rosenny is enrolled at Project Mañana's Private School, where she is guaranteed a private education and a nutritious meal, 5 days per week.

Additionally, Rosenny has been partnered-up with an adult mentor to help guide her through everyday situations, questions, hopes, dreams, and fears.

Rosenny is in desperate need of a sponsor and she would love it to be YOU!

Please visit Project Mañana's website to read more about Rosenny and the other children in desperate need of sponsorship. You can easily sponsor a child online, by fax, or by mail.

 Project Mañana Needs Your Help!

Project Mañana is a non-profit 501(c)3 humanitarian organization dedicated to bettering the lives of impoverished children, their families and communities through nutrition, education, and guidance.

We achieve our goals through charitable donations and child sponsorship, which unites children in need with individual sponsors who wish to address the children's immediate and basic needs. Sponsorship gives poor children the tools and opportunities necessary for success by providing benefits and supporting programs for each child - primarily in the areas of education and nutrition.
