President's Message

" . $Name .",

This is one of my favorite times of the year. Summer is just around the corner and that means that the students attending Project Mañana's Private School are ready for summer break!

While the students may be looking forward to a vacation, Project Mañana's team is working hard to prepare for graduation and next school year. Lots is happening around the campus and there is a feel of excitement in the air.

Starting next school year, Project Mañana will provide education to children who need it the most in the Dominican Republic. Through your sponsorship, each student will receive a private education, new uniform, school supplies, books, and a daily meal .

We are very excited that most children have been partnered with a sponsor, however there are still a few in need of a sponsor. Plus, there are many more children waiting to get into Project Mañana's Private School and space cannot be opened until all of the current students are sponsored.

Please visit the Project Mañana website for more information about sponsoring a child.

Working Together Today For A Better Tomorrow™

Sincerely,

Brian Berman, Founder & President

Renovations Begin At Project Mañana's Private School

When Project Mañana's leadership team met with Juan D'Leon (school administrator) in February, several renovation and beautification projects were planned.

These projects include:
  • Addition of a grassy soccer field
  • Addition of a basketball court
  • Addition of a hop scotch area
  • Addition of a small baseball diamond
  • Addition of a vegetable garden
  • Beautification of walls and fences
  • New paint around the campus
  • Addition of a flower garden and sitting area
  • ...and more!
As of this month, Project Mañana is pleased to announce that we have begun various projects around the school in preparation for next school year (which begins this August).

The exterior walls have been painted in Project Mañana's signature orange color. The Project Mañana logo has been hand-painted and accompanyies a message that reads, "Working Together Today For a Better Tomorrow" in Spanish. In addition, new fences have been installed around the school.

There are still many renovations needed and we can't do it without your support.

Project Mañana Students Prepare For Graduation

In just a few short weeks the students attending Project Mañana's Private School will be finishing their school year and preparing for summer break!

As Project Mañana continues to seek ways to recognize and appreciate its students, preparations are now underway for a graduation ceremony and party!

Students and their families will gather at Project Mañana's campus; where each student will receive a diploma recognizing their promotion to the next grade level.

In addition, students will receive a graduation cap and gown -- and will have the opportunity to have their picture taken with their family as a keepsake.

Project Mañana's full-time staff and a team of volunteers will adorn the school with colorful decorations and will prepare traditional Dominican food.

If you would like to send a graduation card to your sponsored child, please mail it to Project Mañana's International Headquarters at:

Project Niños - Child Highlight

Meet Yeraylyn Methiel Polanco Martinez -- a precious preschool student attending preschool at Project Mañana's Private School.

Yeraylyn, like many of the children from La Yaguita de Pastor, Dominican Republic has spent her whole life in poverty. Her favorite food is rice and she loves to play. From her radiant smile, you would hardly imagine that sometimes she must rely on the memory of how rice tastes as she goes to bed with an empty stomach and without the necessary nutrients for her developing body. Her small, run-down home is over-crowded with her family and, as one of the youngest children, she is often overlooked.

There is good news! Yeraylyn is enrolled at Project Mañana's Private School, where she is guaranteed a private education and a nutritious meal, 5 days per week.

Additionally, Yeraylyn has been partnered-up with an adult mentor to help guide her through everyday situations, questions, hopes, dreams, and fears.

Yeraylyn is in desperate need of a sponsor and she would love it to be YOU!

Please visit Project Mañana's website to read more about Yeraylyn and the other children in desperate need of sponsorship. You can easily sponsor a child online, by fax, or by mail.

 Project Mañana Needs Your Help!

Project Mañana is a non-profit 501(c)3 humanitarian organization dedicated to bettering the lives of impoverished children, their families and communities through nutrition, education, and guidance.

We achieve our goals through charitable donations and child sponsorship, which unites children in need with individual sponsors who wish to address the children's immediate and basic needs. Sponsorship gives poor children the tools and opportunities necessary for success by providing benefits and supporting programs for each child - primarily in the areas of education and nutrition.
