 Serving In The Dominican Republic
May 2013

President's Message

Dear " . $Name .",

Greetings!

As the season changes from spring to summer, things are really heating-up here in the Dominican Republic (and we don't just mean the temperature)!

The Project Mañana team is preparing for a fun-filled summer of MANY activities. Some things we are looking forward to are:

- Project Mañana will host 2 interns this summer!
- Project Mañana will host a team of 27 Americans for 8 days!
- Project Mañana will host a team of 4 American pastors for a week of discipleship training and prison ministry!

As we continue to develop strategic programs and services, I am excited and honored to be able to serve along side many amazing people. From the day I dreamed of an organization like Project Mañana, my desire was to empower ordinary people to do extra-ordinary things!

Thanks to God's grace, we have successfully built the bridge to connect Americans with Dominicans who need their help. We will humbly continue to grow the infrastructure of Project Mañana, but we need YOUR help!

Now, I would like to personally encourage you to TAKE ACTION to help provide the needed resources to these precious children. As you continue reading below, I would like to ask you to thoughtfully consider partnership with Project Mañana by sponsoring a needy child - TODAY!

I am so encouraged to see how God has allowed Project Mañana to reach (and bless) so many needy children and their families in the Dominican Republic.

On behalf of 225 (and growing!) Project Mañana children, their families, and community, THANK YOU for "Working Together Today for a Better Tomorrow!™"

Please visit Project Mañana's website for more information on how you can partner with Project Mañana; including child sponsorship.

Working Together Today For A Better Tomorrow™

Sincerely,

Brian Berman, Founder & President

Project Manana Launches Dance Program in Villa Gonzales

As part of building relationships in the community, Project Mañana has started a gospel dance program in Villa Gonzales, Dominican Republic.

This is the first time that many of the children have been exposed to such a program -- and it's already creating a buzz throughout the community!

The goals of the program are simple:

- Build relationships
- Provide a creative outlet for children to express themselves
- Elevate the self-esteem of each child
- Provide a healthy alternative to "less desirable" ways to spend one's free time
- Teach children that they can worship God through dance

The program is administered by Project Mañana's Ambar Hernandez and is held on a monthly basis. Ambar has been dancing for more than 15 years and has a special ability to connect with the children through this activity.

The class is 100% free and Project Mañana, thanks to its generous donors, covers the cost of materials, costumes, etc.

Ambar says, "I really enjoy dancing and, besides, it's great exercise! I think this is a great way to reach and inspire youngsters with a healthy activity; while building their self esteem and worshiping God."

The first class was held recently and Ambar shared the vision of the program with each child. They discussed how dance can be used to worship God and why a disciplined lifestyle must be maintained. She then presented each student with a workbook -- and together the students spent the afternoon decorating the workbooks with their individual style.

Project Mañana Growth Update

From September 30, 2010 (when Project Mañana officially open its doors) through today, Project Mañana has seen an amazing 562% growth in its core programs.

Project Mañana, through the generous partnership of many sponsors across the United States, is now providing education, nutritious meals 5-days per week, and guidance to 225 children in the Dominican Republic! That's an astounding 562% growth in the first two years of service!

The growth is a true ñana team and the many sponsors who have made it their mission to help provide a Better Tomorrow for the children of the Dominican Republic!

There are MANY more children in the community (we estimate another 200-300 conservatively) who desperately need education and nutrition. As more and more sponsors partner with Project Mañana team, we will expand the programs and services to as many children as we can!

 Project Mañana Needs Your Help!

Project Mañana is a non-profit 501(c)3 humanitarian organization dedicated to bettering the lives of impoverished children, their families and communities through nutrition, education, and guidance.

We achieve our goals through charitable donations and child sponsorship, which unites children in need with individual sponsors who wish to address the children's immediate and basic needs. Sponsorship gives poor children the tools and opportunities necessary for success by providing benefits and supporting programs for each child - primarily in the areas of education and nutrition.
