President's Message |
"
. $Name .",
Greetings!
As summer officially came to a close, and we now prepare for the rainy season in the Dominican Republic, I took some time to reflect. Project Mañana International has officially completed it's first year anniversary (on September 30, 2011). What a blessing!!
Since our humble beginnings just one year ago, we dreamt that someday Project Mañana, through a team of sponsors and partners, would make a huge difference in the lives of the children of La Yaguita de Pastor,
Dominican Republic. Well, that dream is coming true!!
Just a couple weeks ago, the Dominican-based Project Mañana team enjoyed an afternoon of celebration as they reflected on Project Mañana's anniversary. They enjoyed cake and posted signs on the walls of the private school that read, "Happy First Anniversary Project Mañana!"
Today, Project Mañana has a Dominican-based team of 9 full-time staff (including teachers) and is serving 115 children ages 4-13!
Please visit Project Mañana's website for more information on how you can partner with Project Mañana; including child sponsorship. Working Together Today For A Better Tomorrow™
Sincerely,
Brian Berman, Founder & President

Simi Valley Nonprofit Celebrates First Anniversary
Providing Help To Impoverished Children In The Dominican Republic!
Simi Valley, CA – On September 30, 2010, after several years of preparation, Project Mañana International officially opened its doors to help impoverished children living in the Dominican Republic. Project Mañana's mission is simple...to provide a private education, nutritious meal, and guidance to children who need it most.
From its humble beginnings in 2010, Project Mañana was able to provide a nutritious meal to 34 children, five days per week. During that time, fundraising efforts were underway to prepare for the 2011/2012 school year; where the goal was to offer a private education without a costly monthly tuition. Project Mañana, through its child sponsorship program, pays for 80 percent of the student's tuition; while teaching accountability to families who are responsible for the remaining 20 percent (about $2.25 US dollars).

Cigar/Wine Event A Huge Success For Project Mañana! |
On September 17-18, 2011, more than 250 people gathered together in the beautiful wine country of
Central California for the 3rd Annual Crush and Roll Festival. This two-day celebration was filled with beautiful weather, great food, fun vendors, boutique wines, and hand-made cigars (many of which were produced in the Dominican Republic).
Earlier this year, Project Mañana was named Crush and Roll's 2011
charity of the year. Throughout the festival, raffles, live auctions, and various other fundraisers took place -- all for the benefit of the children in La Yaguita de Pastor, Dominican Republic.
There was a large presences of Project Mañana sponsors who attended the event, including: John & Karen Lindsey (John won the poker tournament!), Michael Crupi, David "Doc" Diaz, Andy Sharfman, DonJuan Gross, Lou & Erika Rodriguez, Frank Herrera, Elissa Noyes, and many others!
All said and done, Crush and Roll presented a check to Project Mañana in excess of $3,500!
Those funds were used to provide 10 children with:
A full year of private school
A full year of nutritious meals & multi-vitamin (5 days per week)
School Uniform
School Supplies
Text Books
Partnership with an adult mentor for guidance and counseling
And, just last week, Crush and Roll announced that Project Mañana will be the benefiting

Project Mañana Children Receive Cards From Their Sponsors |
At Project Mañana, we feel it's of utmost importance for sponsors to be able to build a relationship with the child they sponsor. It's these relationships that provide the children with hope, friendship, and a feeling of unmatched love.
Part of this relationship process is the ability to communicate directly with your child. Project Mañana encourages sponsors to send greeting cards, a small gift, family photos, or anything else you would like to share. And, Project Mañana will do all the work to ensure your package arrives safely to your sponsored child!
If you would like to send something to your sponsored child, you can mail it to:

Project Mañana Growth Update |
Last month we reported the amazing 206% growth in Project Mañana's core programs. This month, we are again humbled to report we have grown even more!
Project Mañana, through the generous partnership of many sponsors across the United States, is now providing education,
nutritious meals 5-days per week, and guidance to 115 children in the Dominican Republic! That's an astounding 238% growth in our first year of service!
The growth is a true
testament to the hard work of the Dominican-based Project Mañana team and the many sponsors who have made it their mission to help provide a Better Tomorrow for the children of La Yaguita de Pastor, Dominican Republic!
There are MANY more children in the community (we estimate another 200-300 conservatively) who desperately need education and nutrition. As more and more sponsors join the Project
Mañana team, we will expand the programs to as many children as we can.
Please Help. Sponsor A Child TODAY!

Project Mañana Needs Your Help! |
Project Mañana is a non-profit 501(c)3 humanitarian organization dedicated to bettering the lives of impoverished children, their families and communities through nutrition, education, and guidance.
We achieve our goals through charitable donations and child sponsorship, which unites children in need with individual sponsors who wish to address the children's immediate and basic needs. Sponsorship gives poor children the tools and opportunities necessary for success by providing benefits and supporting programs for each child - primarily in the areas of education and nutrition.
