News From Project Mañana!
Institute For Authentic Manhood™ Receives Nationwide Approval
Project Mañana Prison Team
Project Mañana's Prison Team with Mike Broyles & Dan Bostrom

In 2010, after Project Mañana's founder, Brian Berman, had spent three years in the Dominican Republic, he discovered that if societal change was to occur, it needed to start with the men.

In many Latin cultures, the male role is often focused on being "macho"; seeking to gain respect through force, demands, and making women and family feel subservient -- the Dominican Republic is no different.

In response to this crisis, Project Mañana created the Institute for Authentic Manhood™; which began working with incarcerated men. The idea was simple... teach men how to gain respect by loving their families and others. We knew that if you can help a man change his heart, as the leader of the household, he would begin changing his family and eventually society.

Today, 2,476 inmates have graduated from the Institute for Authentic Manhood™; which is operating in seven (7) maximum-security prisons in the Dominican Republic: Rafey, Moca, La Vega, Najayo, Puerta Plata, Mao, and San Cristobal. In addition, more than 50 pastors and leaders have been trained throughout the country and are hosting the Institute for Authentic Manhood™ and its courses in their communities -- with hundreds of additional men having life-changing encounters.

Currently, the Institute for Authentic Manhood™ offers two main courses:

  • Men's Fraternity™: Quest for Authentic Manhood - by Dr. Robert Lewis
  • Malachi Dads - by Awana Lifeline

For those looking for a deeper understanding of the bible, the Institute for Authentic Manhood™ also offers a theology and discipleship program taught by Paul Thompson.

On November 10th, Project Mañana's leadership, joined by Mike Broyles and Dan Bostrom from Awana Lifeline, was honored with an invitation to meet with Dr. Ysmael Paniagua (national coordinator for the entire Dominican penitential system) and his leadership team to discuss how the Institute for Authentic Manhood™ could expand its presence throughout the penitential system and the Dominican Republic.

With great honor, we are exited to announce three (3) key results from the meeting:

1. The Dominican government has officially recognized and approved the Institute for Authentic Manhood™ as an authorized entity able to operate in ALL Dominican prisons through the country.

2. All current penitential staff (including male and female administrators, guards, and correctional officers) will be asked to attend the Institute for Authentic Manhood™ as part of their job requirements and continuing education.

3. The Dominican government has officially approved the Institute for Authentic Manhood™ and its courses as part of the formal curriculum and training at the national police academy where ALL administrators and officers are required to attend prior to being deployed to their work assignments.

In a few short years, we have watched the Institute for Authentic Manhood™ grow from serving a few men to impacting an entire country at the highest levels of government. By God's grace and favor, we ask you to join us in prayer as we continue to look toward the future and see how thousands of families can be changed in the Dominican Republic and beyond!

Project Mañana Officially Partners With Sister School
Bermans at CCS in Ohio
Brian & Nebraska Berman with students from CCS in Ohio

On October 28th Project Mañana's founders, Brian & Nebraska Berman, had the honor of visiting Cincinnati Christian Schools (CCS) located in Ohio.

Prior to the trip, CCS and Project Mañana had been working to formulate a sister-school partnership between CCS and Colegio Evangélico Dios Da La Sabiduría (God Gives The Wisdom Christian School), Project Mañana's private school.

Today, we are extremely excited to announce that CCS has become an official partner of Project Mañana and the sister school of Colegio Evangélico Dios Da La Sabiduría!

The purpose of the partnership is to provide students at both schools with:

  • A cross-cultural experience; learning the similarities/differences between the two countries
  • An understanding that it's important to give to others and to help those in need
  • The ability to travel between the two schools; building lasting relationships
Students at both schools have already begun exchanging letters and crafts by mail. And in the spring of 2016, a team of 32 CCS students and teachers will be taking a week-long mission trip to the Dominican Republic where they will begin building their first relationships with the students of Colegio Evangélico Dios Da La Sabiduría.

Phase 2 of the Hope Center Building Project is Funded!
Phase 3: Hope Center Building Project
CONGRATULATIONS, You Did It!!

We are pleased to announce that Phase 2 of our campaign to raise $10,000 in 30 days for the building of Project Mañana's Hope Center was successful and we were able to reach the goal thanks to your generous giving.

This puts us one step closer to completing the Hope Center building project; which will offer more space to provide a nutritious meal and clean water to the hundreds of children in San Pablo that still need our help.

While completing Phase 2 is extremely exciting and a huge accomplishment, we must keep moving.

Phase 3 is now underway and our next goal is $20,000 by December 31, 2015 (we've already raised $11,376 toward this goal).

Please help get the word out to your family and friends and let’s put Phase 3 behind us also.

We need YOUR help to provide hundreds of starving children with a nutritious meal and clean water.

Please Donate Today!

The total project cost is estimated at $166,800 U.S. and construction can immediately begin once we've raised the funds.

The faster we're able to raise the money, the sooner we can extend aide to children who desperately need it.

PLEASE DONATE TODAY: 100% of your tax-deductible donation will be allocated directly to the Hope Center building fund. Project Mañana does not take ANY administrative fees from your donation and we NEVER use your donation for anything besides the project in which it was intended.

Project Mañana Needs Your Help!
Project Mañana is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to sharing the gospel and break the cycle of poverty by investing in impoverished children, their families and communities through clean water, nutrition, education, and discipling projects.

We achieve our goals through charitable donations and child sponsorship, which unites children in need with individual sponsors who wish to address the children's immediate and basic needs. Sponsorship gives poor children the tools and opportunities necessary for success by providing benefits and supporting programs for each child - primarily in the areas of education and nutrition.
