I have been working with Project Mañana for 4 years now and I can whole heartedly say they operate with the highest integrity. PM first started out as a customer of mine, but after seeing the great work they are doing in the DR, I felt compelled to help.
I am not the type of person to write a check and hope it gets to the right place. I made an agreement with PM that the funds I raise through my company would go directly to a building project or fill another need that they had.
We have completed 2 projects to date. The first was buying a shipping container so they could store more non perishables. This would allow them to buy in bulk saving the school money and allowing them to feed more children. The second was buying 2 refrigerators & 2 freezers so each area of the school had room for fresh and frozen goods.
I have observed the founder Brian Berman from afar and know that my money will get to where it is needed most. He gave his life to help the people of DR and know that when you donate to this non profit, your money will be go to great use, not just overhead for the staff.
I have known Project Mañana's co-founders, Brian and Nebraska Berman, for 7 years. If you are looking for honesty, integrity and a true ambition to help those who are in great need; you've come to the right place. I am proud to have contributed to this organization, and you will be to. Make the decision to support Project Mañana and you will never regret it.
Upon returning from a recent trip to the Dominican Republic to visit the outreach project started by our nephew, Brian Berman and his wife Nebraska, my husband and I shared many thoughts and emotions. Overall, our recent visit to their school was heart breaking and heartwarming at the same time. We absolutely loved the experience and the work Project Mañana is doing. We also found the Dominican Republic to be a most welcoming country...filled with lush vegetation, gorgeous coastlines cradled by the Caribbean Sea, and inhabited by many colorful buildings and people.
Project Mañana summer interns gain practical hands-on ministry experience through international service. Interns work alongside Project Mañana staff members and assist behind-the-scenes to host summer mission trip teams. International interns help lead work projects in various impoverished communities throughout the Dominican Republic; contributing to Project Mañana's mission of providing holistic care for vulnerable children and their families. The program includes staff-led discipleship and leadership training opportunities.
